But this was the strangest trial of the war. It was held in whispers one night in the darkness of a Nazi prison camp, and everyone present was a prisoner of war. As soon as the verdict was reached a long knife glinted in the moonlight. There was no shortage of executioners for the traitor. Only Bill Evans knew how wrong they were.
