Artur Mahraun (* December 30, 1890 in Kassel – March 27, 1950 in Gütersloh; pseudonyms: Heinrich Meister, Dietrich Kärrner) was a German political activist and writer. As the founder and "Grand Master" of the Young German Order, he is considered a member of the Conservative Revolution. After attending the Wilhelm-Gymnasium in Kassel, Mahraun joined the 83rd Infantry Regiment in 1908 as an ensign (cadet) and became a lieutenant in 1910. Returning from the First World War as a recipient of high decorations, he was accepted into the Reichswehr, from which he retired as a captain in 1920. At the beginning of 1919, he established a volunteer corps, the Volunteer Association of the Officers' Company Cassel (OKC), from which the Young German Order emerged in March 1920. After the Nazis seized power in 1933, the Young German Order was banned in all countries. Mahraun was arrested. Thanks to the efforts of his friends, he was released but was no longer allowed to engage in political activity. With a full-page portrait of Mahraun based on the title page and a glued-in original photo with a signature on the last page. Illustrated book with short text contributions.
